This weekend has been epic.
Got to Salis at about 3:30 (an hour and a half late >.<) and Scarley's mum picked us up and took us to Yeovil fot he KIGH gig. The orange box is TINY. And actually orange outside. Fuck yeah. Queued for a few hours, penguine huddled and discussed innuendic leeks with total strangers, said the most stupid thing ever ("Have you caught your bus home yet?") and sang some songs. I was gonna record a birthday video message for Ellie with Iain when we saw him an hour before doors, but there was no light so he said we'd do it inside at some point.
Got in, went to the left of the stage just in from of where Iain (WOO) and Ryan Day (grr) would be standing. There's no barrier at the sides, that's how small the venue was. Straight Lines were first on - they used to be called SaidMike and they looked after me when I fainted watching TBO in Oxford last December. They're lovely anbd they were osm, although I couldn't hear a thing cos we were stood next to a speaker. Then A!A!, who were brilliant as ever. Neil is adorable, bless him. I love that they end on Too Bad Son, it's by far my favourite of their songs ^__^ Then KIGH just... won. At everything. Even though Aled was drunk. I could tell by the way he got us all to sing happy birthday to 'Jesssssssssssssssssssssss'. With that many 'S's. And the way he signed the condensation on the ceiling...
We had to leave a little before the last song (Saturday) so we went off, high fived the singer of Straight Lines (Tom) and I had my photo taken with Neil Starr, who's amazing. Then we walked to Yeovil Pen Mill station to catch a train which turned out to be nonexistant. Scarley's dad picked us up and we went home.

This morning I watched Charlie's Angels for the first time (lol), ate cheese on toast, and caught the train from Basingstoke to Clapham Junction, Clapham Junction to Vauxhall, then the bus from Vauxhall to Waterloo. Met a 19 year old who I guided across the underground to Kings Cross (Northern line northbound Waterloo - Leicester Square, then Picadilly line Eastbound Leicester Square - Kings X). Then we sat with his friends on the way home and chatted about slot machines and things to do in peterborough and life as a 'squaddie'. Good times.
The dreaded geography coursework has to be done NOW. S'laters :)
